Creating all my life with photography, painting and drawing, I’ve had no formal training.

Being self-taught, I’ve been fortunate enough to have some of my work featured on nationalgeographic.com, CNN as well as a few local publications.

One year my work was a small part of Art Basel in Miami where one of my photographs was featured in the “Endangered Art For Apes” collection along side the work of Andy Warhol and Nat Geo photographer Joel Sartre.

It wasn’t until a couple of years ago that I went from 2D to 3D and was introduced to sculpture by taking classes at First City Arts Center. I was then selected by the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festive as an emerging artist for 2018. This is my first year as an official artist in the business of art and have recently created “Amerson Gallery.”

A secondary business to my primary “The Hair Do” where I’ve been a hairstylist for over 37 years.
